We Need Your Input Immediately - COVID-19 and Childcare Health Study

A study is underway to find out the most effective ways to keep early childhood caregivers, and the children and families they serve, healthy through the COVID-19 pandemic. This is the largest nationwide epidemiological study ever done with the early childhood workforce. You are invited to share your insights and experiences so that the voices of front-line childcare workers are heard from every state.

Every day, you do your best to minimize the risk you are taking by serving our children and families. You are essential and we consider you to be heroes working for the children and families in our state. This study provides an opportunity for you to share your experiences directly.

The National Workforce Registry Alliance is partnering with the Yale School of Medicine to conduct this study. The Growing Futures Registry, a member of the National Workforce Registry Alliance, is pleased to participate and is reaching out to you to help in this effort.

On Tuesday, May 26, 2020, all Growing Futures Registry members will receive an email with links to participate in the study survey. The survey should take about 12-20 minutes to complete. More information about this study and a brief consent page will be provided to you before the confidential online survey begins.

Information gathered will be shared with national policymakers.

As a measure of thanks, at least ten people who complete the survey will be entered to win a check for $500. Participants will also be invited to a free online webinar to discuss the results and answer any questions including questions regarding the latest science on COVID-19 spread in classroom settings and how best to keep children and staff safe.

Updates on this study can be found on the COVID-19 Child Care Study website here, and may also appear on the Yale School of Medicine COVID-19 page here.
As childcare programs across the country begin to return to normal operations, the window of time to learn from your experiences is closing. Please take a few minutes today to complete the survey. Your help is greatly appreciated.
