Transitioning to our New System
Begin the process using the Login link at the top of the site.
Welcome to the new Growing Futures Registry. We have been busy designing our upgraded system, and now we can show you what we’ve been working on. We know you are going to love the speed, the reliability, and the functionality.
Still, this is a big change, and it’s going to take us all a few months to get used to it. During the transition, we appreciate your patience. Now, we ask that you work with us as we all learn how to use this new technology. You can also help us by taking note of things that seem to still need a bit of work—even typos. Let us know what you find.
The first thing you’ll notice is that we have a new look. Our logo has been updated, and our website has been redesigned to better highlight the Registry functions. That’s just the beginning. Following are some of the major changes or updates you’ll find.
Please read the definition of terms (PDF, 182.39 KB) to ensure you understand the terminology of the Registry.
For Individuals
Logging In
When you login for the first time, you’ll be asked to provide your name, email address, birth date, and last five digits of your social security number. This information is used to find your record and ensure your information is correct. After that you will always login with your Registry ID#, which does not include any of your personal information. Make certain you know that number—it’s your access to your record, to training registration, and more.
Do NOT create a new account. If you have ever taken Growing Futures approved training in the past four years, you have an account. That’s where all your training information is stored and where you will want your future training to be listed. If you can’t get logged in, call us for assistance. How to create an individual account (PDF, 496.32) walks you through the steps to find your record and set up your new account.
Your Learning Record
Growing Futures members are able to view and print their Learning Record. You will love how quickly and easily you can access your information. The new Learning Record is much more detailed than you’ve been used to seeing. Take some time to get familiar with it so you can see how it showcases your work. Your past training will have carried over into the new system and will be on your new record. Remember, to be able to view your full record you must be a member of Growing Futures.
Your Career Pathways Placement
Your placement may have changed. There are several reasons this could happen, but the most likely reason is that you had not completed the new licensing requirements for 15 hours of basic child care. Please visit the Career Pathways page for more detailed information.
Updating Your Record
To update your record, simply “Renew” your membership and add any new information that you’d like us to review. No more need for the old Update Request forms.
Trainers
All trainers must reapply for trainer approval. To do so, you must first be a member of the Growing Futures Registry. Find your individual account, “renew” it, and then apply for trainer approval.
For Organizations
Organization Account
If your organization is licensed or delivers training, you will need to create an organizational account. Licensed and regulated programs are in the system by license number. How to create an organization account (PDF, 479.15 KB) describes the step to follow.
Licensed Programs
You will be able to your staff training and more easily get ready for license renewal by having your staff attach themselves to your organizational account. Read more on the Organizations page.
Training Organizations
You will need an organizational account before you can submit training for approval. Read more on the Organizations and Training Approval pages.
Licensers
Login
There is now one central account for licensing staff, managed by DHS. The login information will be distributed by DHS to regulatory staff. Simply access the Registry login page and use the login information provided by DHS to access the licenser reports. You will also want to update your personal account by following the steps described in how to create an individual account (PDF, 496.32 KB).
Licensing Report
A special report has been developed for licensing. You’ll notice that it is much more detailed than previously, and it’s organized so that you can easily see the information you need. Read more on the Licensers page.
